MY EXPERIENCE ON DARK WEB !
I was in the 11th Grade when I first visited the Dark Web with the help of the TOR Browser, there are various etiquettes to be followed on the dark web that is to not share any un-encrypted data. The data you are uploading must be protected by the password or else there are chances of your activities being tracked, never do such thing where a 2 step verification is required or else you will end up sharing your Mobile Number and E-Mail on the Dark Platform. Rather I would suggest not to access the Dark Web. I would write on the Etiquettes in some other article. The Moment you access it you see hell lot of information that is around 7,500 TB. You get to access the data like the way information is presented on the newspapers. You see an Anonymous person has done an transaction of so and so money for XYZ purpose which might include details. For e.g.: XYZ guns or drugs purchased for so and so amount and its details. The data consists of confidential information sold or purchased regarding all aspect may it be historical, political, Illegal trafficking, etc. For Example: it may have secrets related to the politics between countries or the confidential
historical
data of any country. Also, here you can see groups of people buying or selling
Illegal weapons, Drugs, Bank Account details, and all other Illegal Activities.
You cannot see the identity of the person as it is Anonymous. Now these
purchasing and selling is done with the help of Cryptocurrency !!
On January,
2019 The State Bank Of India’s customers as well as employees Account details
were floating on the Dark Web. It’s shocking to see that around 86,000 leaks are currently
being traded in the Dark Web / Net for the domain “sbi.co.in”. There are millions of servers out there exposed
right now. The State Bank of India got “officially” hacked. It’s
not the First time, and it probably won’t be the last time. And
the list of Data leaking goes on.
According to the INTERPOL Reports, out of all the digital frauds on just
Surface Webs, the money stolen is deposited into the Casino in Philippines,
where the money was delivered to the ISIS Militancy. The person accessing Dark
Web can be anyone it may be any intelligence agency, or it may be a
professional hackers , or even terrorists..
Let me explain you how the business works on Dark Web, when you use any third-party
app which doesn’t guarantees your privacy, you must assume that your activity
on that app or data is violated. Suppose you use Facebook or Instagram, you
have your profile information which is basic information for the hackers, if your
account is hacked, your data e.g.; photos, locations, information on the accounts,
contacts are sold on the Dark Web for a price. No matter you are popular on
internet or not, hackers don’t violate Article 14 of the Indian Constitution.
For them each and every person is important for data leaking. Also remember No
matter what you do on internet, you are always being tracked, it is easy to
avoid such tracking, also it is easy to stay safe on internet but not 100% (stay
tuned for the article on these topics). Also, when you pay on internet through
trusted and secure Portal, someone is watching you while you pay!! Now even
there are some third-party apps to whom you don’t allow any permission, but
they are designed in such a way to collect data from the System Apps which requires
Permission for running. This is where I strongly recommend using VPNs.
This is what leads to the data being uploaded on the Dark Web. And you
never know what else is on Dark Web. For us the Surface Web is too vast,
imagine how will be the Dark Web if it 96% bigger than Surface Web. Keep in
Mind whenever you see “.onion” website which is rare on Surface Web, don’t proceed
further. And try using incognito mode for privacy. Never visit any website
which you don’t trust, never install any app via browser (because the app is not
authorized by Play Store or Appstore as it may violate Play Store Protect
Policy due to which it has its presence on the Browser).
Although first it was impossible to trace the Bitcoin, but now it is
traceable and have few chances of tracing the offender. This Cryptocurrency boosted
the Dark Web and the Future ahead lies in Encryption !
